Directions to Red Rock Ponds

We strongly recommend our visitors use the following directions. There are shorter routes, but many of the
bridges crossing the Erie Canal are old, very narrow and in some cases impossible to cross with a large vehicle.
These directions are specifically designed to provide the best travel routes for large RVs.

From the East (Rochester)

• Take I-490 W to RT-531 W. Take Exit 8 to RT-36 in Spencerport. Turn right onto RT-36 N.
• Go 0.1 miles and turn left onto RT-31W. Go 2.5 miles and right onto Sweden Walker Rd/RT-260.
• Go 2 miles and turn left onto Ridge Rd/RT-104. Go 11 miles and turn left onto Fancher Rd.
• Go 2.2 miles and turn left on to Canal Rd.

From the West (Buffalo)

• Take I-90 E to Exit 48 in Batavia.
• Turn right onto RT-98 North. Go 19 miles and turn right onto Ridge Rd/RT-104.
• Go 5 miles and turn right onto Fancher Rd. Go 2.2 miles and turn left onto Canal Rd.
